Primary English Network (CPD)

Back to calendar

This termly network meeting provides English subject leaders with the chance to work collaboratively with colleagues from other schools.

By sharing ideas, discussing best practice and having a forum to discuss areas where progress or attainment is below expectations, leaders will discover ways of enhancing the outcomes of pupils at their own schools.

Covering all areas of the English curriculum – reading, writing, spelling and grammar, this is a time-saving opportunity which cannot be missed.

This session is led by Hannah Cooper - Education Consultant

Hannah Cooper is a primary consultant specialising in Assessment, Moderation and teaching English. She began as a primary teacher, taking on leadership roles for KS2 and English before becoming an Advanced Skills teacher and has over 20 years of teaching and learning experience. Hannah now works in school improvement and leads on KS1 Assessment for Leicester City Council and also works as an independent consultant offering a wealth of expertise to schools from leading the Leicester Oracy project, creating training for developing teaching sequences and children’s writing, and as a reading consultant offering bespoke support to schools in teaching reading across KS1 & KS2 linked to the Leicester Reading project.
