Two half day sessions (Friday 12th Nov 1pm-4.15pm - Part 2 Date 26th Nov) that will offer practical suggestions for planning and leading an outstanding art provision in a primary school setting. Learn ways to structure your art curriculum, to ensure good coverage of skills and knowledge, and provide your students with a rich creative experience. Gain ideas about how to select and use a broad and inclusive range of art, as an inspiration for your art lessons, artworks which enrich and extend your students' knowledge about what art is. Understand how assessment can form part of the creative process, and be genuinely useful to your students as part of their art lessons.

 

About Emily:

Emily Gopaul is a freelance art education consultant, working within both the cultural and educational sector. Emily's work is multifaceted, and includes working with schools, teaching training providers and in collaboration with galleries and institutions. 

Her book Teaching Primary Art and Design was published by Bloomsbury in 2018, written to support primary art leaders in contextualising practical art activities, using art history and contemporary art practices.
