Implementing Instructional Coaching Across Your School (CPD)

Back to calendar

Cost: £25 per delegate or £40 for 2 delegates

When looking at improving pupil outcomes and rapid development of teacher's skills instructional coaching has the best evidence base of any other form of CPD. This year during our ECF roll out this has been felt by mentors using instructional coaching to pinpoint and improve small elements of their ECTs practice on a consistent basis, building the habits of being a great teacher. However, the instructional coaching model is not limited to teachers new to the profession and can benefit teachers across the school.

This session will look at:

  • What instructional coaching is: the evidence base, a step by step guide and best practice.
  • How to roll out instructional coaching across your school: planning what to focus on, who is best to be a coach in school and how this can be implemented from a logistical point of view.
  • When to implement and evaluate the impact.

Participants will leave the session with a better knowledge of best practice for instructional coaching and a clear plan of how this can be implemented across a school.
