This session aims to provide teachers with opportunities to evaluate Maths language, planning and teaching. This will enable them to model the different types of Maths language that pupils need to master in order to articulate their understanding in Maths.
The course will explore the specific features of Maths vocabulary and language structures which pupils need to understand in order to access Maths problems.
It will also include a range of strategies and activities that supports pupils’ understanding of Maths word problems.
Suitable for all teachers and support staff working from KS1 to KS4.
