KS2 Moderation for all Y6 Teachers (CPD)

How do you ensure teacher assessment in Year 6 is accurate?

These sessions provide Year 6 teachers and team members the opportunity to work with experienced Local Authority moderator Melanie Hendy, to discuss their children's work against the exemplification materials.

The teacher assessment framework and pre-key stage standards will be used to support the process as well as moderators' own children work.

Delegates will use the criteria above to inform cross-school professional discussion and review of own Yr6 writing. By the end of the session you will identify next steps in order to secure GDS by the end of year 6.

Outcomes

Y6 Writing Moderation session 1 

• Standardisation of GDS using an STA collection of writing
• Moderation of pupils’ books (at any standard)
• Diagnostic assessment of next steps to accelerate progress
